Local Honey: Dunham Massey

Steve’s second apiary was in the top orchard at Red House Farm, and it’s still going strong. Lewis and Amy Clare have been very supportive and are pleased with the pollination efforts of the bees. Many of our queen bees come to this site early in their lives because we use it as a mating apiary (where queens and drones get together). It’s a lovely place, where school children come for educational visits, and adults use facilities on site to run fitness courses, create art, make fence panels, and so on. Oh, and there are piglets and lambs in the Spring!
